Singing Glasses

Every class was involved in Science Week. One of the many, many science experiments this week was the singing glasses. Rubbing the rim of the glass with your wet finger produces an eerie sound. Does extra water make the pitch go up or down? What about the shape of the glass? Why does it make this sound? What happens if I have no water at all? What happens if I fill it to the brim?
