5th Class Rugby Blitz

Yesterday Mr O Connor’s 5th class played in a rugby blitz hosted by Presentation Brothers College (PBC) in their rugby pitches by Dennehys Cross. We travelled by bus and left at 9am! Upon arrival we were greeted by our rugby coach Eoin and former Munster and Irish rugby player Ken O Connell, who is now a coach development officer for Munster Rugby. We were split into four teams and each team played 3 games each of tag rugby under the guidance of our coaches. There was a few awards handed out afterwards with the winning team, captained by Mark Hetherington, presented with an official Munster Rugby Ball and one individual award was presented to Sebastian O’ Donoghue for his overall effort in training for and the blitz! We were treated to crisps, chocolate and minerals after as well as free Munster biros. We had a great day out and really enjoyed ourselves! Thanks to to all those from PBC who were involved and helped organise it.
